Namibia Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Windhoek -Sossusvlei. Drive southwest through the scenic highlands to the Namib Desert. Explore the Namib Desert, visit Sesriem Canyon and Dunes.

Day 2: Sossusvlei – Sunrise visit to see the amazing large sand dunes in the best light. Other nature activities during the rest of the day

Day 3: Sossusvlei – Swakopmund. Optional: sunrise hot air balloon flight or scenic light aircraft flight over the Namib Naukluft National Park. Later drive to Swakopmund enjoying, breath-taking canyons en route to Walvis Bay. This town has a distinctly Germanic feel.  

Day 4: Swakopmund. An unforgettable Kayaking experience, see Cape fur seals, dolphins, pelicans, flamingos, and other sea bird species. Optional: sandboarding, quad biking, scenic flights and much more  

Day 5: Swakopmund- Damaraland. Drive north and east to the unique region of Damaraland, passing Namibia’s highest mountain, the Brandberg (8,441 feet). Damaraland is known for its range of colors, table topped mountains, impressive rock formations and desert-adapted wildlife.  

Day 6: Damaraland – Visit Huab River valleys in search of desert-adapted elephants, they have adapted to the arid conditions.

Day 7: Damaraland – Etosha Heights Game Reserve. Drive to Etosha National Park, travelling via the scenic Grootberg Pass. Meet Namibia’s last surviving tribes, the Himba. Watch wildlife coming to drink at the camp’s floodlit waterhole.

Day 8: Etosha- Onguma Reserve. Full day safari stopping at various waterholes for sightings of Etosha including elephant, lion, giraffe, kudu and gemsbok (oryx) amongst others.  

Day 9: Onguma Reserve. Visit eastern section of Etosha National Park and Onguma to view kudu, giraffe, eland, oryx, hartebeest, zebra and impala to predators including lion, cheetah, and leopard. We will try to spot black rhino – sure to be a highlight of your visit!

Day 10: Onguma – Windhoek. Fly Windhoek and connect flights home
