Day 1: Arrive Casablanca: Home to Morocco’s primary airport, Casablanca is distinctly post-colonial. European-style sidewalk cafes and French-inspired bakeries, but at street level it is a mix of modern cosmopolitan buildings and old historic downtown. After a brief tour we drive to Rabat.

Day 2: Rabat: Rabat is a peaceful town, the capital city of the Kingdom, where the Royal Family lives for most of the year, see the country’s most important museum, the Royal Palace, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, as well as several other historical attractions.

Day 3: Rabat – Tangier: Drive to Tangier, enroute stop at Assila, perhaps the most well-preserved old cities in Morocco. Tour the Spartel Cape for amazing views of the Atlantic merging with the Mediterranean. Visit the Hercules Caves and the Old Medina. Visit tomb of Ibn Battuta, finish at the Grand Socco, a large marketplace.

Day 4: Tangier – Chefchaouen: Chefchaouen has shady alleys, whitewashed and blue turquoise homes, wrought iron windows, colorful tile roofs, and fascinating souks full of color and friendly people. Wander at leisure which is the best way to discover this town with your guide and learn about its Arab-Andalusian history.

Day 5: Chefchaouen- Fes: Drive to Fes enroute visit Meknes, the famed Ismailia capital known for its long walls and numerous gates and visit the Royal stables, the amazing markets, and the popular Jewish quarter.

Day 6: Fes: Explore Fes, the cultural and spiritual center of Morocco with your guide. The medina is like a living museum! Many of its secrets are waiting to be explored within a maze of nearly 10, 000 narrow and winding passages. Visit the Royal Palace and you will not forget the view and smell of the centuries-old tannery.

Day 7: Fes – Erfoud – Merzouga: Journey to Erfoud driving through the dramatic Ziz Gorge, heading towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi, possibly the largest dune in the Sahara Desert. Sunset camel ride on the dunes and be astounded by the peace and calm as well as the changing colors of the landscape.

Day 8: Merzouga – Ouarzazate: Drive today to Erfoud and Ouarzazate, en-route, stopping in the Dades Gorge and valley, known as ‘The Valley of One Thousand Kasbahs’, it is the most prominent of the oasis valleys that dominate southern Morocco.

Day 9: Ouarzazate: Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village which has been featured in many Hollywood film productions. Drive along Morocco’s most picturesque and dramatic roadways, through the High Atlas Mountains Range, passing beautifully terraced valleys and adobe villages.

Day 10: Ouarzazate – Marrakech: Make a stop at Kasbah Tamadot and continue your drive through beautiful villages towards Marrakech.  In the evening walk in the famous Marrakech El Fna, the city’s lively main square.

Day 11: Marrakech: Tour of Marrakech includes a visit to the Musee’ Yves Saint Laurent and the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia palace and the Jewish quarter. Also visit peaceful Majorelle Gardens and its Berber Museum. Visit different souqs in the city.

Day 12: Marrakech – Casablanca – home: Drive to Casablanca airport for flight home
