10 Day Waterfalls Cruise
Night One: Your “welcome aboard” the magnificent TRUE NORTH. Overnight steam to Yampi Sound.
Day 1: Glide past Cockatoo and Koolan Islands – then see the Horizontal Falls. Climb aboard your helicopter for a view of the falls that very few experience! (Helicopter rides are Optional). Set sail to Doubtful Bay.
Day 2: Explore the Sale river. Join naturalists as we ‘ride the tide’ on a classic river expedition! Weigh anchor and cruise to another Kimberley icon – Montgomery reef! Turtles, dugong, crocodiles and every imaginable sea creature abound, and the helicopter puts all in perspective!
Day 3: The scenery will astound as you cruise the majestic Prince Regent River. At King Cascade we will maneuver the TRUE NORTH right under the falls. The helicopter will be popular again when the first group of intrepid explorers returns from Jurassic Park!
Day 4: See some stunning rock art or join the ship’s naturalist in one of the adventure boats – alongside a crystal-clear billabong – in one of the most remote places on earth!
Day 5: The Hunter River is about as far away as you can get in Australia – a stunning river system that is lined with dense mangrove forests and surrounded by rainforest encrusted mountains. Watch the sunset on another action-packed day in the Kimberley!
Day 6: Wake in the stunning turquoise waters of Swift Bay where the waters are alive with species such as queenfish, giant trevally and mackerel. Then join us for our pearl and diamond party! Enjoy the Jewels of the Kimberley and Kimberley Fine Diamonds.
Day 7: The Mitchell River is renowned for big Barra and even bigger crocs!
The adventure boats will head upriver to the scenic Surveyors Creek Helicopter flights over an ancient land including the spectacular Mitchell Falls!
Day 8: Today there will be an opportunity to see the “Bradshaws” – ancient rock art that pre-dates other examples of Aboriginal culture. The Heli-picnic at Eagle Falls is always a ‘big hit’.
Day 9: Yet another mighty Kimberley River King George! As soon as the tide is high enough, our journey upstream will take us to the very ‘jewel in the crown’ – The King George Falls. Take the helicopter, to the top of the falls for a cruise highlight.
Day 10: Your courtesy coach will arrive at approximately 0800 hours for transfer to Kununurra for your departure home.
