Day 1: Arrive Shanghai:

Welcome to China: You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Later walk on the bund area.

Day 2: Shanghai: Visit Shanghai Museum, walk in the Yuyuan Bazaar. Enjoy a panoramic view of the modern face of Shanghai from the 100th floor of “the Eye of Shanghai” Shanghai World Financial Center and walk on the Nanjing Road. Optional Huangpu River night cruise.

Day 3: Shanghai – Yichang – board your 4-night Yangtze River Cruise: Fly to Yichang and transfer to Yichang Three Gorges Center Cruise Terminal, Maoping Port to embark your 4-night cruise

Day 4: Yangtze River Cruise: Cruise over the tranquil and beautiful Yangtze River. Today’s highlight is an afternoon excursion to Three Gorges Dam, the world’s largest hydropower project, located in the middle of Xiling Gorge.

Day 5: Yangtze River Cruise: Today you will sail through the spectacular Three Gorges! You will relax on the sun deck and soak up the breathtaking gorge scenery passing by as you drift through Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge respectively.

Day 6: Yangtze River Cruise: A shore excursion to Shibaozhai Pagoda, a red wooden temple on the northern bank of Yangtze River and continue on your cruise.

Day 7: Disembark in Chongqing and fly to Guilin: After disembarkation visit the Chongqing Zoo to see giant Pandas. Later visit an ancient Town the Chongqing’s old harbor where see Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, local shops, tea houses, local Sichuan Street performance and more. Fly to Guilin.

Day 8: Guilin – Li River Cruise: One way by boat and return by vehicles, enjoy a day cruise on the Li River to see the undulating hills, a dazzling scenery as if a vast endless Chinese painting of winding river, green limestone karst mountains, fascinating countryside views.

Day 9: Guiling – Yangshuo – Longsheng Rice Terraces: Drive to your hotel amongst beautiful countryside. Witness the most elaborate Longji Rice Terraces, an amazing feat of farm engineering, also see several Zhuang and Yao minority villages and a visit to Yao Village, where women perhaps have the longest Hair in the World.

Day 10: Guilin – Xian: After a leisurely morning walk to see the terraces, drive to Guiling airport for flight to Xian

Day 11: Xian: See one of the greatest man-made wonders in the world – the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, built by the first emperor of China Qin Shihuang to protect him in his afterlife. Over 8,000 life-size warriors, horses, and chariots, buried in 3 pits for more than 2,000 years until uncovered by a local farmer in 1974.

Day 12: Xian – Beijing by high-speed train: Morning visit, the big wild goose pagoda. The rest of today is free until you get escorted to take a high-speed train to Beijing (about 4.5hrs), the capital city of China.

Day 13: Beijing: Start with Tiananmen Square, now the largest city plaza in the world. Next visit the Forbidden City, a huge palace complex of more than 9,000 rooms. Afternoon visit the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China.  

Day 14: Beijing: Today visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World – the Great Wall. Visit the Mutianyu, a less crowded yet well-preserved segment of the Great Wall. Continue your trip to Ding Tomb, the mausoleum of a 13th century emperor of the Ming Dynasty. Then drive back to make stops at the Beijing Olympic Village to view its famous Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from the outside.

Day 15: Leave Beijing for home
