Egypt Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Cairo. Transfer to your hotel. Evening sail on a Felucca (boat with sail) on the Nile

Day 2: Tour of Old Cairo and its Bazaars and a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities

Day 3:  Today, tour the Giza Plateau, site of the pyramids. Ride a camel across the sands of Giza, and then view the Great Sphinx.

Day 4: Fly to Aswan and transfer to your hotel. Later excursion to Abu Simbel by short flights. The two main temples here were moved block by block to higher grounds when the Nile rose when they built the Aswan Dam.

Day 5:  Morning board your 4-night cruise on the Nile. Later ride a motorized boat to Philae Temple. Also enjoy a Felucca ride.

Day 6: Cruise to Kom Kombo and visit the temple of Horus and a temple dedicated to the Sun God and Sobek.

Day 7:  Cruise to Esna and visit the Temple of Khnum to marvel at its superb art and hieroglyphics. Cruise to , visit Temple at Karnak to see the immense temple of Pharaohs with its expertly aligned columns, which soar to 80 feet high.

Day 8: Cruise to Luxor, to visit the ancient city of Thebes, view the Colossi of Memnon. Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, Valley of the Kings the burial ground of the pharaohs.

Day 9: Disembark your cruise and fly to Alexandria via Cairo. Afternoon tour of Alexandria or enjoy its beaches.

Day 10:  Continue tour of Alexandria, visit the site of the oldest and the largest library established by Alexander the Great. Fly back to Cairo and connect flight home.
